Adios Ronaldo, time to shine Wazza

With Cristiano Ronaldo's departure from Manchester United has come allot of enthusiasm from all rivals both players and fans alike; but I am here to inform you that its merely jumping out of the pot and into the fire!

There are few selfless players in the world like Wayne Rooney; but NONE are as talented. Since he lit up EURO 2004 and signed for Manchester United he has showed mere flashes of what he is capable of day in and day out if played as a striker; which is his natural position as he demonstrated at age 16 when he sunk Arsenal and became the youngest scorer in premier league history at the time. However, because of his 'team first' ideal and of course great ability, he has played all over the park for United and sacrificed individual accolades.

With Ronaldo out of the picture, Rooney will take up his rightful role to devastating effect. As great as Ronaldo was for United, he never had the awareness and guile of Rooney, nor did he have the "never say die" attitude! He'd prefer to whine rather than hustle and harry defenders to win the ball back. With Rooney leading the line, the work rate of all attackers will be higher. He will have the opportunity to develop that all important rhythm you need as a striker and pretty soon he will be making opposition defenders and fans cry for mercy!

Wazza week in and week out:
